UK (mainly US anymore)

not any more == ‘no longer’ or ‘in the past but not  now.’　もはや〜ない （過去にはしていたが現在は止めた、起こらない）

＊副詞としての用法は文末に起きます。米国では anymore と１語に綴ります。

We don’t go to Cornwall on holiday any more. (We  used  to  go in the past but not now.)

　休日にコーンウォールに出掛けることはもうありません（過去には良く行ったが今は行かない）。

The cost of electricity is not cheap any more.

　電気代はもはや安くはありません。

He doesn’t cycle anymore.

　彼はもう自転車には乗ってないよ。

＊場所、条件、時間がごちゃまぜになった様な意味合いを持ちますね。時間表現に限らず広く back の意味を見ましょう。

　ハサミを手にする時は元に戻すことを忘れずにね。

　彼が遺したノートには「外出する、すぐに戻る」と書いてあった。
