same（形容詞）

＊same は２つまたはそれ以上の＜異なるもの＞が、＜比較すると互いにきっかり似ている、類似する＞ことを意味します。

＊また、他と比較するのではなく、変わらずに同一の事物、状況だ、も意味します。

＊まぁ、君と僕は同じだ、vs. 僕は同じところに住んでいる、の意味の違いですね。

＊形容詞として名詞の前に添えて使う事もできますし、代名詞或いは副詞としても利用出来ます。

＊人や物事を比較する際には必ず the を使う必要があります。

＊以上の様に記述法は幾らか異なりますが、意味は identical と同じです。

形容詞　(EXACTLY LIKE)

1. exactly  like  another  or  each other 互いにキッカリ類似する、他と同じだ

＊比較級は取れません。

＊他との比較に於いてきっかり同じであることを言う時の表現です。

＊他との比較、とは要するに同じ種類のものである、ことを意味します。

＊＜複数主語＞ are  the  same, 　それと　A  is  the  same  as  B 、の２つの表現を持ちます。

My twin sister and I have the same nose.

　双子の妹と私は同じ鼻をしている。

Our grades were exactly the same.

　成績もまったく同じだった。

All people are equal, deserving the same rights  as  each  other.

　すべての人は平等であり、互いに同じ権利を持つに値する。

I know a lot of people who've had the same  problem.

　同じ問題を抱えている人をたくさん知っている

She brought up her children in just (= exactly)  the  same  way her mother did.

　彼女は母親と同じように（＝まったく同じように）子供たちを育てた。

Many other animalcula of the same class  and  of  other  classes  display the same characteristic.

A is the same as B　の用法

She was wearing exactly the same dress as  I  was.

　彼女は私とまったく同じドレスを着ていた。

People say I look just the same as my  sister.

John thinks the same as I do - it's just too  expensive.

this one; not another, different one:

A1 [ before noun ] not another  different  place,  time,  situation,  person, or thing:

別の場所、時間、状況、相手では無く、正にそのもの、同じまま、同一の、変わらず

＊他と比較して等しいことを言う表現では無く、同一物、者、状況、事象であることを言う表現です。

Rachel's still going out with the same  boyfriend.

　レイチェルはまだ同じボーイフレンドと付き合っている。

That (very) same day, he heard he'd  passed  his  exams.

　その（まさに）同じ日、彼は試験に合格したと聞いた。

I would do the same thing again if I had the c hance.

　チャンスがあればまた同じことをしたい。

My brother and I sleep in the same room.

cf. be wary of/about で、〜に警戒する、の意味用法ですが、be wary that の用例は多くは有りません。

cf. not so....to do 〜するには〜ではない　→〜ではないので〜する、原因・理由と結果を示す構文です。語順通りに前から訳し下ろすのがコツです。
